WOW! What a great way to spend the weekend! I got to get up close and personal  in the pits, paddocks and behind the scenes at  the Honda Indy Toronto race this past weekend. I was there with Jensen Motorsport and Napa Autoparts to film a webisode series based around the team and Napa Autoparts. We got some great footage of the race, qualifications, fans, and amazing interviews with IndyCar drivers such as Dario Franchitti , Will Power, Helio Castroneves, and our hometown Canadian favourites Alex Tagliani, Paul Tracy and James Hinchcliffe. We also got to learn more about the drivers and cars in the Indy Lights, Canadian Nascar, and Ferrari series!  It was great to see so many familiar faces in the paddock from my years working with Champ Car when I did PR for a race team. I realized how much I really missed the racing family and being at the race track. It’s a super sexy sport that gets you hooked.  

I had a co-host Wilder Weir (he’s on Cosmo TV) with me all weekend which made for some fun and exciting clips of us having a tire changing contest, bike races, and some fun fan interviews. We made some great friends in Jensen Motorsport paddock with driver David Ostella and his family! What great people! It was so nice to see his entire family come out to support him in the Indy Lights race all wearing his name and car # on their T-shirts. David gave us some great interviews and actually had me sit in his race car and describe all the buttons and how to operate the machine.

Can’t wait to post the footage in a week when we have it complete! In the meantime, I’ll leave you with some fun photos of the race weekend!
